What is Inspire?

Inspire started a number of years ago as a group of friends meeting together on a regular basis. Catalysed by Steve Clifford they nurtured relationships, prayed with and for each other, provided mutual support and provoked accountability.

Out of this, which became known as the Collaborative Group, a smaller group met specifically to take a responsibility for the support and care of churches who they were involved with.

Inspire has emerged out of what was known as the Collaborative Group, as an evolving response to the aspirations, visions and relationships which have developed over the years, while recognising and encouraging other relationships which are shaping and influencing individuals and church. Inspire operates with Pioneer (yet with distinctives).

So what does Inspire do now?

1. Purpose

To play our part in the transforming work of the gospel reaching our world for Jesus, recognising we are stronger and more effective co-operating together. At the heart of ‘Inspire’ are relationships (with God and each other). We will work to facilitate opportunities for relationships to be nurtured and for purpose to be discovered and pursued.

• We will intentionally pursue collaboration between leaders (inside and outside the church), ministries and churches.

• We will support leaders (both inside and outside the churches)

• We will care for churches through:

o Care for the leadership team (particularly the team leader)

o Strategic input into the church vision, structure and strategy

o Influencing the relational, moral and doctrinal integrity of the church

o Encouraging leadership development

o Provide access to other ministries and resources

o Available in times of crisis

o Involved in the appointment of senior leaders

o Supporting the church international mission work.

• We will encourage mutual investment and support between churches (learning from each other).

• We will encourage transformational entrepreneurial activities among leaders and ministries.

• We will support the emergence of apostolic centres.
