Molesey Community Church Update

Back in May, MCC had a prophetic evangelism training weekend with Jeannine Rodriguez. We spent the weekend thinking about how God speaks to us, specifically looking at dream interpretation and words of knowledge. As part of the weekend we went for prayer walks around Molesey and some of the teams had conversations with people they met on the way.

At the beginning of June we had our Refresh in the Park fun day. We filled the site with bouncy castles, face painting, a café, delicious bbq as well as running a five-a-side footie tournament which involved 25 teams of kids aged 5-15! Miracle Street provided a stage and entertainment whilst MCC got involved in serving across the site. We also had a prayer, healing and dreams interpretation tent. We had some fantastic conversations and got opportunities to pray for people for all sorts of reasons.

Over August we have not been having normal meeting on Sundays except for some social events such as a bbq. We also took a group to Soul Survivor; most of the group had not been before so it was a real eye opening experience for them. They thoroughly enjoyed the worship and talks-on the first evening I made them go to the meeting 45 minutes early so we could get a good place to sit which they all complained about. By day 2 they were asking if I minded if they went even earlier to save us a good spot!

Now it’s September and everything is getting going again. Youth and children’s groups starting again, church weekend coming up in October, Christmas community events already being discussed (!)…. Phil is taking us through the story of Nehemiah as we look at rebuilding and growing. So now like Nehemiah we need to be really praying and seeking God for what’s next for MCC.
