Paalam Project Sri Lanka Update
The Paalam Project forms an integral part of Inspire, aiming to improve the quality of life for poor families in Sri Lanka. In the next few e-news issues we wish to highlight some of the amazing work that Jenny Sinnadurai and Karen Dey, plus others are involved in.
In this issue we highlight their International School in Wattala.
The Paalam Project has continued to support the work of the Paalam International School by providing sponsorship for 22 children into the school. This includes covering the cost of their fees, school books and extra curricular activities. Some of these children are also provided with uniforms, shoes, stationary, medical care, daily food supplements and meals. Two of the children supported are special needs children both suffering from extreme epilepsy. One of these children is also physically handicapped.
Thanks to donations from abroad the Paalam Project has been able to assist the school by purchasing the necessary PACE books used for the school curriculum to provide these books for each child in the school to use. There are currently 139 children benefiting from the provision of these books.
