ReAct - Surbiton
For the third year running eight Surbiton churches hosted a 60 strong team (young people, musicians and organisers) from Urban Saints and DNA and together ran a Family Fun Day followed by Church Outdoors. At least 2000 people came over the course of the sunny Sunday afternoon and enjoyed music and games lead from a stage, a BBQ and refreshments, inflatables of four kinds, face painting, hair braiding, children’s games, a football competition run by Fulham Football Club, and a busy prayer tent offering prayer for healing, words of encouragement form God and dream interpretation. All free. There was a moving testimony from a non-church lady of complete healing last year after prayer from severe, longstanding depression which lead to others coming for prayer this year. The atmosphere was bustling, fun and was enjoyed by all. After a short break Church Outdoors had an evangelistic focus with testimonies, drama and a talk. A number of people responded for prayer and two for salvation. Lots of hard work but a memorable day.
