Open Day reflections

Despite the start of the summer season of holidays and weddings, which redcued our numbers by a good dozen, the last Inspire Open Day for wider leadership teams drew 10 of the Inspire churches together as we looked at four missional opportunities for our communities.

Phil Moore, of Molesey Community Church led us in a short but effective reflection on God and light in our world, our lives and circumstances. The buzz groups were a stimulating part of shared experiences and good practice as well as lessons learned, led well by Sara Ward (Bless) on young families, Mary Stuart (Molesey) on Alpha, Derek Holl and team (Jubilee,) on open youth clubs and Marion Jay (New Life Wickford) on family fun days.

These are all practitioners, and can be contacted by Inspire churches via Tim Raynes at inspire321@btinternet.com for any advice/perspectives in their areas of expertise. We took opportunity to pray and prophecy over one another, and to pray for Jubilee Church Bromley, who hosted the day so well.

Having started with breakfast we then finished with lunch together; all this and our time ended at 1pm! It was a great day – see you and your church's wider leadership team and minsitries at the next one on 18 September.

With love and peace in Jesus

Pete
