Report on DNA
The current DNA year began on 5 October with our five day residential.  This year perhaps more than any felt to be heavily contested by the enemy (happens every year, with occasional years like this feeling particularly resisted).  DNA recruitment has kicked in at 26.  OnLine recruitment has kicked in at 6 and of our 26, 6 are from Scotland (an increase of 20% on last year, i.e. 1!)  Of the 26, 14 are female, 12 male.  Predominant (usual) age range of 17-25, with one at 27 and one at 30 and one at 44.  We have 1 international trainee with us this year from Romania.

The 26 trainees have varied backgrounds from Pioneer, Church of England, Church of Scotland, Episcopal Church in Scotland, Baptist, New Church, Elim and Salt & Light.  We also have around 3 additional Track 3 trainees, all male, from Pioneer churches, who dip in and out of our 2 day training blocks.

We are this year serving 16 placement churches with our 26 trainees.  7 (44%) are Pioneer, with the remaining 9 being Church of England, church of Scotland, Elim and New Church with 2 church placements in Scotland.

OnLine - 1 is from last year's DNA and the others are from 2-6 years ago.

DNAReflections
This year’s intake are settling in well, with a number of issues/character issues beginning to come top of the fore, as usual.  They are responding well to teaching, ministry and worship, are attentive and good questioners.  We are believing for, and already seeing, the fruit of a prophetic word that God would give us open doors quickly into their lives, and that the enemy's attacks whilst close would not hit the mark with us or them.

Development
As a team we said goodbye to Caz Rouse after 6 years in August, but welcomed Joey Graver (ex trainee, ex OnLiner) on to the Team.

We continue to assist DNA-Deutschland as they have completed year 1 of DNA there and adjust their model for this year.  We do likewise with Impact (South Africa).  They currently have 8 trainees. We are also pursuing the extension of DNA into a potential 1, 2, 3 year course accredited to Cert Ed, Diploma and Bachelor of Theology respectively.

So, good start, exciting times ahead, and your prayers needed all round!  For the trainees, the placement churches, and the DNA Team.  Remember please, we're growing a generation of leadership (30% of our trainees go on to work full or part-time with their church) and we'd love to serve you with that too!
