Summer @ Hertford Community Church - Jo Wood

During August, Hertford Community Church ran several outreach events on its local estate called Pinehurst where the church has been actively serving and building relationships for a number of years. We kicked off with our annual 'Hog Roast' - expertly prepared and presided over by our resident chef David. Around 60 people came and enjoyed food and fellowship in the brilliant sunshine outside the estate's community centre. It was fantastic to see so many familiar faces and some new ones as well. Please pray we can build on these relationships going forward. We also ran our annual holiday club for primary aged children again, reaching capacity numbers most days! Our children's worker Ross did a fantastic job of organising this, with his faithful team and the week helped to go deeper with many children that Ross sees during the year at the weekly kid's club, 'Pax'. Step by step, we are seeing God build great links between the community and the church fellowship and we really pray we can take this even further over the coming year.
