React - Canopy Church, Herne Bay - Phil Hulks The underserved favour of God
To be honest, with a lack of people attending planning team meetings and various tensions in the team this year, I was not feeling that positive about us hosting Re:Act in Herne Bay this summer. So, when at the Re:Act training residential people started prophesying that the day in Herne Bay (the home of Re:Act) would be a very special day this year, I did my best to outwardly smile and nod in agreement, whilst inwardly thinking, “no chance!” However, when in the morning of the Herne Bay day, Yan, the Re:Act evangelist told us how he felt prompted to get up early that morning and walk round the site 7 times and believe for the walls to come down, I did a little bit of mental arithmetic, and yes, this was the seventh time we have hosted a Re:Act day in Herne Bay. And what an amazing day it was
The 3 main words God gave us for that day, that we would pray for people who had lost their jobs, that we would see people healed of breathing problems and that we would pray with a family who had just lost a child all happened. I had the privilege in leading a lady to Christ in the family fun day and seeing her instantly healed of the physical addiction to heroin. Another lady watched her leg grow before her own eyes as God healed her back. You could tangibly feel the presence of God on the site. The pray/healing tent was constantly busy. One lady who did not appear to be healed at the time was healed of asthma as she walked home.
