TWELVE

The next TWELVE begins 20 September 2008
Vision:
To mentor a small group of young women with leadership gifting, positively, actively and robustly so that they receive the support, encouragement and input needed for them to begin and continue to embrace their godly destiny.
Objectives:
To pilot a coaching/mentoring initiative for young women in an atmosphere of learning together in order to:
- Discover individual’s gifts
- Train individuals theologically and practically in how to live for Jesus as they move forward in their calling.
- Have the opportunity to walk in relationship and prayer on the journey together
Outworking:
The course facilitators and participants would journey together - everyone learning from each other.
Visiting tutors would be uniquely able to contribute practically and theologically to the group.
1st STAGE: (10 months) Beginning Sept 2008
The sessions would be both theological and practical and be delivered by invited tutors. Those on the previous course included Elaine Storkey, Dr Patrick Dixon, Caroline Kennedy.
2nd STAGE (6 months) Beginning July 2009
The participants would be placed with an agreed mentor for a period of 6 months. At the end of this time a final meeting of the participants would address problems, successes and ways forward.
Course Participants:
Young women 18 - 30.
These young women would be conspicuous by their hunger for God, ability, intelligence, willingness to work hard, have emerging leadership skills and vision.
Stage 1:
9 one-day sessions – Saturday (one per month)
1 overnight – Saturday/Sunday
Running: September - June, overnight Jan 2009 (Stage 1)
Stage 2:
Mentorship –July 2009 – December 2009
Communication between participants and course facilitators
1 final day to:
- officially close course
- analyse and reflect on what has and has not been achieved
- look at ways forward for individuals
Tutors
The course facilitators will invite Guest tutors for individual sessions.
Each session will have detailed notes available as well as a reading list. We will work towards collating a useful resource.
Costs:
£35.00 per day including lunch. The total amount would be paid on the first day.
The course will be mobile, going to faculty members where necessary or run from Ann Clifford’s house in West Ealing. (Ealing Broadway Tube Station)
The overnight would be two days with one night away run from Ann Clifford’s house. Participants would be expected to organise their own accommodation though some beds are available. Food would be included.
