New Living Ministries

Karen Dey recently spent some time with the Inspire Core Group outlining some of the work that she and Jenny Sinnadurai have committed themselves to over the last few years. We sat with open mouths as we heard what can only be described as a ‘21st century apostolic ministry’. The headlines include the following:
- 23 Tamil Churches/Groups planted in 6 countries (England, France, Switzerland, Norway, Canada and Sri Lanka) with as many as 1,400 church members.
- One of the most recent churches began in Canada when Jenny and Karen visited the University of Toronto and held meetings there. Many young people were touched by God but because they were from Hindu families they were not allowed to attend church. So instead they started a Saturday girls meeting. These have been so well attended that they began the Youth Church on Sundays as well as Friday night Youth Meetings.
- Alongside the church planting, Jenny and Karen have also established an NGO (Paalam Project) working in Sri Lanka whose activities include: an international school attended by 89 children, a medical centre which sees approximately 1,500 patients a month, a children’s home with 32 children and a vocational training centre training up to 20 girls in vocational skills.
